The key difference is that we fine-tune the weighting of various factors — core components of any effective spam detection too l — to deliver more optimized results. If the spam test result is poor, the email will likely be rejected or end up in the spam or trash folder after being accepted by the target mail server.

Will a good email testing result guarantee a good delivery rate?

EmailChecky provides tangible performance metrics and identifies potential issues that could affect deliverability. In practice, this helps improve deliverability rates, especially when the results show no significant problems or errors with the email or mail server. However, there is no guarantee that deliverability will improve, even when using our tool. This is because many factors, unique to each email service provider, can't be fully accounted for in the email scoring system. Additionally, recipients may have custom rules in place that take priority over the default filters of the email service provider, which we can't predict or prepare for.

What is a good spam score?

A spam score under 5 is acceptable and should cause the target mail server to accept the email, provided that the technical part of the test shows no critical issues, such as an invalid PTR record or a broken or invalid DKIM, SPF, or DMARC implementation. An ideal spam score is below zero, such as -5; this gives deliverability a slight boost.

What are DKIM, SPF, and DMARC authentication tests?

DKIM, SPF, and DMARC are tools that help stop spam and fake emails. SPF makes sure the email is sent from a trusted server. DKIM adds a special signature to prove the email hasn't been changed. DMARC tells email providers what to do if an email fails the SPF or DKIM checks, like marking it as spam or blocking it.

Is any test data stored permanently?

No. Once a test has been delivered to the user, all data provided for the test is deleted instantly, and it is not possible to restore or use that data.
